The Art Institute of McKinney is excited to announce its second annual student art exhibit . Beginning on Saturday, September 8,
with an open reception from 7-10pm, the student art exhibit will feature works created by Art Institute of McKinney students ages 3-17
during the 2007 summer camps. This year's camps featured culture studies of India, Australia, and the Caribbean.

Pre-schoolers spent much of their time this summer learning about the animals of the camps' featured regions.
View adorable painted animals from tigers to crocodiles to macaws during this show. There may even be a rendition
or two of the Taj Mahal created by ages 3-5 to compliment their camp experiences.

Elementary age students studied the animals, cultures and architecture of the featured regions this summer.
Watercolor cityscapes of India , canvas paintings featuring animals and landscapes, and animal sketches
will be on display for ages 6-11 as well as various other works produced during the camps.

This summer, teens studied drawing and animation as well as 3-D art. Half-minute Claymation videos created
by the teens will be streaming during the exhibit while traditional animation drawings will also be on display.
Wild and wacky sculptures will be featured from the 3-D art camp.

Please be sure to visit this exhibit, held in conjunction with downtown McKinney's Second Saturday event,
and support the children's programming provided by the Art Institute of McKinney.

Select works from gallery members will be on display in the classroom during the event.
